Back to School – September 2026

We are looking forward to welcoming our students back to WMG Academy Coventry for the start of the new academic year.

Please note the following arrangements for the first week of term:

Monday 31 August

Bank Holiday – the Academy is closed.

Tuesday 1 September

INSET Day – students do not attend.

Wednesday 2 September

INSET Day – students do not attend.

Thursday 3 September

• Year 9: 9:00am – 3:00pm
• Year 10: 9:30am – 3:30pm
• Year 12: 10:00am – 4:00pm
• Years 11 and 13: Students do not attend.

Friday 4 September

• Year 9: 8:30am – 3:20pm
• Year 10: 8:30am – 3:20pm
• Year 12: Students do not need to attend.
• Years 11 and 13: Students do not attend.

Monday 7 September

Normal timetabled lessons resume for all year groups.

We look forward to welcoming our students back and getting the new academic year underway.

 

Please note the following arrangements for school lunches:

Thursday 3rd September and Friday 4th September
All students will receive a ParentPay letter on Thursday 3rd September. While ParentPay is being set up, we are asking parents/carers to provide their children with a packed lunch on both days.

If your child is entitled to Free School Meals (FSM) and you are unable to provide a packed lunch, please let us know by the end of Wednesday 2nd September. This will allow us to inform the canteen of the number of lunches required.

From Monday 7th September
Students will be able to purchase break and lunch from the canteen using ParentPay. For students entitled to FSM, their FSM allowance will automatically be added to their account.
