By Public Transport:
The WMG Academy is located within a ten minute walk of the University of Warwick’s central campus. Because of its proximity to the University, the Academy is well served by a range of public transport.
You can find out more about our exact location on our Contact Page
We recommend that you use the University’s transport web pageswhich provide a complete list of public transport serving the University as well as additional services provided by the University including, for example, a shuttle bus from Coventry railway station to the University.
These pages also contain useful, regularly updated information on roadworks and transport changes. You can find all this information here>>
Staff and students of the WMG Academy will be provided with ID cards which they will use to access the school building – these cards will give staff and students access to the discounted transport fares available to all University of Warwick staff and students.
Bus Service to Solihull:
We are pleased to that the number 87 bus service from Solihull has an improved timetable providing students travelling from Solihull to the WMG Academy with a more regular service. We are thankful to Centro and the University for their assistance with improvements to this service.
This is a public bus service, so students will need to pay for fares. In most cases, we believe it is most economical to purchase a n-bus scholars pass season ticket. You can buy a pass here.
The National Cycle Network route links the University of Warwick to Coventry City Centre to the North and to Kenilworth Road to the East. There is also a new cycle/pedestrian route linking the University South to the Greenway.
Further information on the National Cycling Network can be found here>>
Students & Staff wishing to cycle to the WMG Academy will be able to leave their bikes in the bike shelter provided, please note that you will still require a padlock for your bike.
Parents are unable to drive onto the site to drop off students in the morning and are reminded to ensure that any drop off takes account of their own as well as other road users.
We are aware that a number of parents are considering sharing lifts. Please be aware that the WMG Academy is unable to take responsibility for checking the suitability of any personal arrangements you make with other parents, whether from the perspective of welfare or vehicle safety.
