Safeguarding and Wellbeing
The safety, welfare and wellbeing of every student is our highest priority at WMG Academy Solihull. We want every young person to feel safe, valued and supported so they can thrive both academically and personally.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. All staff are safeguarding trained, with additional training covering areas including child sexual exploitation, online safety and Prevent. Our dedicated pastoral and safeguarding teams work closely with students, families and external agencies to identify concerns early and make sure the right support is in place.
Safeguarding concerns are recorded securely through CPOMS, allowing us to respond quickly and appropriately. Where necessary, we work with local authority children’s services, Early Help and other specialist professionals, involving parents and carers wherever appropriate.
We listen carefully to our students and ensure their best interests remain at the heart of every decision we make.
Parents and carers can also access advice about safeguarding and keeping children safe online through the Department for Education’s ParentWise service.
