WMG Academy Coventry is to star in a Cabinet Office video to promote 2018 as the Year of Engineering.
Students, former students and Principal Mr Brady took part in filming recently for the video which will be shared regionally and nationally during National Apprenticeship Week (5th-9th March).
Cabinet Office representative Chris Kirk spoke to former students Cameron Barnes and Omeah Hancox about how WMG Academy helped them secure apprenticeships ahead of thousand of other applicants. Cameron is an apprentice with Aston Martin and Omeah is an apprentice with JLR.
Mr Kirk also filmed students at work in the engineering hall and on computers to use as part of the video.
Mr Brady said: “We are proud to support the Year of Engineering campaign and are delighted to be involved in this video for National Apprenticeship Week. Our leavers have gone on to sought-after advanced, higher and degree apprenticeships with a whole range of companies.”
