Dear Sir/Madam,
WMG Academy for Young Engineers Coventry – Consultation on Admissions Arrangements
WMG Academy for Young Engineers, Coventry is consulting on proposed admissions arrangements for the academic year 2019/20 and beyond. We would welcome representation from all interested parties on this consultation. The draft admissions policy is available here.
Admission to WMG Academy for Young Engineers Coventry will continue to be coordinated through Coventry City Council’s Coordinated Scheme.
We are proposing to change our admission policy in the following ways:
- Decreasing the PAN for Y10 from 160 to a 150. This is to allow appropriate sized curriculum groups based on the capacity of the building.
- The closing date for Y10 Admissions to move from 31st October to 31st January each year to be in line with our Y12 deadline. We believe this would allow students a more reasonable period of time to access CIAG before applying to the academy.
The consultation window will close at midnight on 31st January 2018. Responses about our proposal should be addressed to the Executive Principal, using [email protected]
Yours Faithfully,
Kate Tague [Executive Principal]
