Helen Lyman-Smith, the Director of Marketing, Communications and Advocacy at WMG, University of Warwick delivered a Marketing workshop to our Year 10 Business students. This workshop gave our students an opportunity to learn first hand about how businesses in different sectors of industry market their products by considering advertising, influencing, PR, sponsorship and social media. This reinforced students’ learning and showed them how the theoretical knowledge they have gained in the classroom, particularly in Unit 2 of their OCR GCSE Business specification, was applied in businesses.
