Open Day at WMG Academy Coventry 19.10.24 – Showcasing Our Vision and Community
WMG Academy’s recent Open Day was a resounding success, bringing together over 800 guests to learn more about our innovative approach to education, hands-on learning, and the pathways we create for young people to enter thriving careers. This year’s Open Day provided an insight into the Academy’s values and achievements, industry standard specialist equipment and impressive destinations.
A Collective Effort for a Shared Mission
The WMG Trust partners and stakeholders included Alumni from 12 companies, Governors, Edu-Caterers and Business Partner representation from National Grid, JLR, Arup, Leon, NCMT, Mecalac, RAF, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, University of Warwick and WMG.
Industry Connections, Alumni Success, and Real-World Opportunities
WMG Academy’s commitment to blending education with career readiness was highlighted particularly where industry partners showcased the direct employment, apprenticeship and university pathways available to students. Our alumni, now leaders in fields like engineering, business, and technology, were central to the evening, sharing their journeys and underscoring the value of a WMG education. As role models and mentors, our alumni network not only highlights the Academy’s impact but also offers current students guidance and real-world insights, opening doors to fulfilling and impactful careers.
