WMG Academy Trust Board
WMG Academy for Young Engineers is overseen by the WMG Academy Trust. The Trust is made up members from industry and the University of Warwick who lead the development of WMG Academy and oversee its running from a strategic perspective. Jamie King – Chair of Coventry Local Governing Body
Jamie is the Senior Policy and Engagement Adviser at the University of Warwick, responsible for undertaking political engagement and developing policy solutions in support of the University of Warwick’s strategy. His higher education career began in 2021 on a fast-track leadership development programme, and prior to his current role he has led numerous strategic initiatives across the institution, from community engagement to facilities management. Jamie is a qualified project manager and graduated from the University of Warwick with a BA(Hons) in Politics and International Studies. Jamie joined the Local Governing Body of WMG Academy (Coventry) in May 2022, becoming Chair of the Coventry Local Governing Body and joining the Board of Trustees in October 2025.
